   If You Have an Off-the-Job Injury...

...you need to contact your Supervisor and Union Representative immediately. If you are looking at continuing to work, you will have to submit a light duty request to the Postmaster. If you are unable to work you will be charged with whichever leave type you have requested. If you are out of sick leave your best option would be to request advanced sick leave from your Postmaster.

FMLA
The Family and Medical Leave Act entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons with continuation of group health insurance coverage under the same terms and conditions as if the employee had not taken leave.
