Branch 82 Honored at National Convention

Earlier this month, at the NALC's 74th Biennial Convention in Los Angeles, Branch 82 was honored with several different awards:

First Place Awards

• Branch Publications, Best Editorial or Column Promoting Unionism: "Delivering a Unified Message" by David Norton, published in the April 2025 issue of the B-Mike.

• 2024 MDA Fundraising, Category 2 (1,500-2,499 members): $20,715

Second Place Awards

• Branch Publications, Overall Excellance for Large Branches: The B-Mike.

• Organizing, Category 2 (1,500-2,499 members): 96.74%

Third Place Awards

• Highest Percentage Increase in LCPF Contributors, 1,500-2,499 members: 13.02%

• Highest Per Capita LCPF Contributions, 1,500-2,499 members: $26.84

Honorable Mentions

• Branch Publications, Best Website: nalcbranch82.org

Region 2 was also honored with two awards:

First Place Award

• Region with the Highest Per Capita LCPF Contributions: $32.63

Third Place Award

• Region with the Highest Percentage of Members Contributing to the LCPF: 11.91%
